We want our city to look like heaven on earth—for beauty and life and joy to overtake this town. Jesus calls this holy overthrow the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom can come in our lives right now, in the midst of everyday life. The Kingdom doesn’t have to be a far-off abstraction; it can show up as an immediate reality, if we let it. And when we look for it, we’ll find it.
